Sensory Map - 1992 (2018)

Sensory Map (1992) is a collection of material gestures about my disoriented sensory relationship to physical spaces. Drawing on past works of mapping obscure and altered sensory experiences through layering sound and drawing, Sensory Map (1992) uses smaller material compositions, projection and painting with similar intention. I am interested in the immediacy and subtleties of sensory based memories, and the gestures that come in response to everyday routines and materials. These actions happen instinctually and are closely related to the subjective knowledges formed in habitual spaces and art making.
